Bitdefender QuickScan for Firefox detects threats to your computer much faster than antivirus software can and uses very little of your system’s resources. It is not intended to be used independently because it cannot resolve threats. It can, however, let you know when threats arise and alert you if you are visiting a site that has been engaging in untoward activity either by putting viruses on computers or by using other malware to obtain personal information. Because the program does not delete or modify files, you will need an antivirus software to dispense with the threats that this add-on detects. While it does make use of cloud threat identification, it does not upload data files or other documents.
