The latest instalment to the Chicken Invaders series, Chicken Invaders 4; Ultimate Omelette, has you battling chickens that are fighting against the human tradition of being the main course every holiday, and you have to crush their revolt. Can you destroy the endless waves of chicken attackers and save the holiday tradition? It’s kind of odd that chickens are revolting being eaten on holidays when it’s turkeys that go under the knife, but, oh well, we can look past that.
In spite of this oversight, Chicken Invaders 4 is a wacky, fun game that is inspired by the video game Space Invaders. The main goal in the game is to kill the attacking chickens. To help out, you can collect power ups; you can even unlock better upgrades to your weapons. The introduction to the game is a Star Wars style scrolling text that is kind of long. If you are a fan of the series, you cannot help but to notice the similarities to previous versions.
Additionally, you might be a little disappointed in the fact that new features, changed backdrops, and innovations in the game are sort of lacking. However, if this is the first time you have played one of these titles, you will find that it is fun and easy to learn. While this will more than likely not be the best game you have ever played, it is still a lot of fun. Children will particularly like the quick and easy action, and it’s great for when you don’t have a lot of time or just looking for some brief stress relief.
